We went up to Idaho Falls on Saturday to see the Titanic exhibit at the museum of Idaho. It was SO cool! To actually lay eyes on some of the stuff that was on that ship--- I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like. We had nine, yes I said NINE, kids with us, so we didn't get to read and look as much as we wanted, but it still was an awesome experience. At the very beginning, we were given cards with the "stats" of a passenger that was on board. At the end, there is this huge wall that lists all the passengers. So, you could look up the person's name on your card and discover whether or not that person survived or perished. It really emphasized just how many people died on that tragic night. I was very impressed with the entire exhibit and recommend you go if you have the chance!
There was no photography allowed in the museum, but here are the few we did take.
In the lobby of the museum. (Nine of ten grandkids of my Mom's!)
Outside the museum, all the kids plus my Mom, Sister, Aunt, and Grandma! Oh, and Kyler's little friend flat Stan, too! My Aunt Lezlie's grandson Kyler is reading the Flat Stan books in his 2nd grade class, so he sent "Flat Stan" (a little boy made of paper...heehee) to her and she was suppose to do fun things with him, take pictures and send him back after a few days. To date, Flat Stan has gone horse back riding, hot tubbing, 4 wheeling, and to the museum!! LOL!! You can't see him very well, but Lezlie is holding him up in front of my sister...
How fun! What day was that? I hate it when you can't take pictures!
