Well, I did it! I enrolled in an online writing school yesterday and I have to say I am filled with a mixture of fear, excitement, and anxiety! I have always thought that being a writer would be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding jobs to have, and I have finally taken the steps to move towards that goal. I don't know exactly what kind of writing I want to do but I do know that I enjoy it a lot! It's something I can do from home, so it will fit in well with my life right now. The school I applied to requires a "writing test" to qualify, and they only offer enrollment to about 10% of those who do apply, so I feel pretty confidant that I at least have the innate skill to write. My hope is that, with schooling, I can become a real pro! Wish me Luck!!

"Sydnie Sayings"
My daughter, Sydnie, will be 2 next month and like her brother, is a barrel of laughs when it comes to the things they say. They always make me smile and usually laugh out loud, and on occasion embarrass me, and I'd like to share it with you. (Well, not the embarrassment part, but you know, the whole LOL and smiling thing...)
At her 15 month check, the doctor handed her one of those tongue depressor things to hold while he examined her. She wiggled her little body, pushed it away, and with a healthy dose of attitude said "I don't like it!" She had said it a few times previously when mommy attempted to feed her veggies (especially the green ones), but we were kinda like "did she really just say that?!?" But there was no question when she said it to the Doc! He looked at me questioningly and I said "ya, she's pretty good at letting us know exactly what she does and does not like!"

"Cordel Quips"
My son Cordel, age 4 1/2 has always been a smart little fart and he's always saying such funny things. So, I thought it would be fun to share some of them with you from time to time.
Ever since he was little, I always would tease him telling him that if he didn't behave I was going to sell him to the Gypsie's for a quarter. Hence the following conversation...
Cordel: Mom!! I just saw a cop!!
Me: You did?!?
Cordel: Yep. Right over there. See?
Me: yep. What do you think they are doing?
Cordel: mmm, I don't know. Probably taking someone to the Gypsie's.
Oh, I so hope I have not done serious damage...
